Account Manager - Personal Lines 
Job Description

 

Core Duties:

  1. Execute New Business Process

    1. Generate referrals from prospective clients, current clients and referral partners

    2. Set the stage and gather information

    3. Rate/quote

    4. Discuss case with Director, Personal Lines; address risks and proposal, and determine sales plan

    5. Complete sale in conjunction with Director, Personal Lines

    6. Make sure all documents and electronic file are accurate

  2. Execute Onboarding Process

    1. Review applications.  Obtain necessary information.  Upload policy.

  3. Execute Policy Received Process

    1. Process new policies; verify accuracy and update electronic file

    2. Welcome clients to the agency

  4. Execute Client Services Core Process

    1. Assist with daily activities on the client’s account meeting servicing standards

      1. Binders/proof of insurance, changes/endorsements, inspections
      2. Discounts, billing/payment issues
      3. Losses/claims
      4. Cancellations
    2. Continually evaluate clients' changing insurance needs for proper coverage

    3. Educate the client on coverages/limits/regulations, while retaining the business

  5. Execute Solicit Lost Client, and Touch Base with Existing Clients Core Processes

  6. Execute Renewal Reviews and Remarketing Core Processes

    1. Process renewals

    2. Review for accurate coverage, necessary changes and premium fluctuations

    3. Re-rate, if indicated, and follow up with the client

    4. Take appropriate action based on client review/renewal or request to remarket

General Duties:

  1. Be a team player

    1. Act as chief problem solver

    2. Be a personal lines subject matter expert

    3. Generate referrals to commercial lines and referral partners

  2. Act as a back-up to Personal Lines when needed and Commercial Lines within defined parameters

    1. Certificates of Insurance

    2. Changes/endorsements

    3. Billing inquiries, discount verification and payments

    4. Losses/claims

    5. Other areas as defined

  3. Answer and address or delegate incoming phone calls

  4. Process Close Day, Night Utilities, including daily communication log

  5. Run reports per process

  6. Assist in coaching and mentoring of team members

  7. Maintain compliance with agency and industry standards

  8. Consistently follow the company’s core processes and operating system

  9. Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day
